Product Overview
When the workpiece surface is sufficiently flat and suitable for suction, vacuum-cup tooling is generally gentler than point-contact gripping.
AUREK can combine vacuum tooling with a Pneumatic Industrial Manipulator, jib crane or intelligent lifting device to create a handling solution suited to the on-site cycle time.

Applications Suited to Vacuum Handling
- The surface is relatively flat, allowing the cups to form a stable vacuum seal.
- The product cannot be gripped directly with a mechanical gripper, or its surface must be protected from pressure marks.
- Repetitive handling of cartons, sheet materials, sheet-metal parts and box-type products.
Conditions Requiring Detailed Evaluation
- Rough, porous or highly permeable workpieces require suction testing or a different gripper.
- For surfaces with oil, moisture or dust, the vacuum-cup material and vacuum source must be evaluated.
- Standard vacuum-cup solutions are not recommended for high-temperature workpieces.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is a vacuum lifter suitable for cartons?
Yes. The number of vacuum cups and vacuum source must be confirmed from the carton weight, board strength, surface condition and available suction area.
Can it handle sheet-metal parts?
It can handle certain sheet-metal parts, especially those with relatively flat surfaces where gripping marks must be minimized.
Can vacuum handling support tilting?
Yes, but the center of gravity, vacuum safety factor, tilting angle and anti-drop protection must be evaluated.
