- Enter actual conditions in the yellow fields. Mark unverified information as To Be Confirmed, and distinguish measured values from estimates.
- For multiple workpieces, pick-and-place points or motion sequences, enter each application on a separate row in the workpiece and motion details sheet.
- The form status checks whether key fields are complete. Engineering review and design release are separate activities.
01Purpose
This form organizes application information from emails, photographs and site discussions into one record for preliminary assessment of pneumatic industrial manipulators or handling systems. Use it to identify missing data, establish operating conditions and review the structure, tooling and workstation concept.
02Intended users
- Customers, purchasing staff and process engineers preparing a handling-equipment enquiry or project request.
- Project leads responsible for workpiece, site, cycle-time, utility and safety information.
- Sales and engineering personnel assessing the initial feasibility of multiple workpieces or representative motion sequences.
03Completion and submission
| Step | Completion and submission requirements |
|---|---|
| 1. Basic information | Enter the customer, project, contact, location, project stage, delivery expectations and customer project number. |
| 2. Workpiece conditions | Record the maximum actual weight of one workpiece, dimensions, center of gravity, material, surface, temperature, permitted gripping areas and incoming orientation. |
| 3. Motion and cycle time | Describe pick-and-place positions, lifting and horizontal coverage, rotation or turnover, shift patterns, frequency, target cycle time and the current manual operation. |
| 4. Site and utilities | Record the installation area, foundation or steel structure, clearances, access routes, obstructions, air and electrical supplies, and environment category. |
| 5. Safety and supporting data | Describe load retention, unintended-release prevention, surface protection, intersections between personnel and material flow, applicable requirements, and the availability of drawings, 3D files, photographs and videos. |
| 6. Additional applications | Use one row for each workpiece and representative motion combination. Include overview photographs, pick-and-place positions, obstructions, access routes and workpiece photographs. |
04Priority information
| Information group | Required details |
|---|---|
| Workpiece | Maximum actual weight, overall dimensions, center of gravity and eccentricity, temperature, surface condition and prohibited contact areas. |
| Motion | Complete pick-and-place sequence, orientation changes, stroke, coverage, positioning and prohibited movements. |
| Site | Installation space, load-bearing conditions, clearances, interference, material-flow routes and operator positions. |
| Safety | Retention after air or power loss, unintended-release prevention, surface protection, customer plant standards and acceptance requirements. |
