- Customer site representatives and AUREK engineering or sales personnel complete the checklist together, using consistent measurement datums, units and file references.
- Use one reference system for photographs, videos, sketches, 2D/3D files and forms so that entries can be cross-checked and missing information added later.
- The survey records conditions visible on the survey date and information supplied at that time. Technical agreements and approved drawings govern subsequent design and implementation.
01Purpose
Use this checklist during handling-project site surveys to record permitted workpiece loads, handling paths, available space, foundations, utility interfaces, environmental safety and access restrictions. Number photographs, engineering files and outstanding items separately and link them to measurements for design assessment and later verification.
02Intended users
- Customer site representatives and process, facilities and safety personnel involved in new installations, retrofits, replacements or capacity expansion.
- Engineering and sales personnel surveying applications for pneumatic industrial manipulators, vacuum handling, tooling or workstation lifting.
- Project teams organizing photographs, videos, layouts, foundation information, air and electrical supplies, and control interfaces.
03Survey and data preparation
| Step | Tasks |
|---|---|
| 1. Establish reference datums | Record the project, workstation, date, participants, coordinate or height datum, units and photography restrictions. |
| 2. Check the workpiece | Measure weight, dimensions, center of gravity and temperature, and inspect the surface. Mark permitted and prohibited contact areas and load limits. |
| 3. Record the motion sequence | From the operator's viewpoint, break down pickup, lifting, translation, rotation or turnover, positioning, release and return paths. |
| 4. Measure the site | Include surrounding and overhead clearances, obstructions, access routes, foundations, lifting access, maintenance space and escape routes. |
| 5. Check interfaces | Record dynamic air pressure and connections, electrical supply, grounding, PLC/I/O, safety circuits and energy-isolation points. |
| 6. Create an image index | Number photographs consistently from P01, covering the access route, views from all four corners, pick-and-place points, handling paths, obstructions, foundations and interfaces. |
| 7. Close information gaps | List required drawings, models, photographs, risk information and responsible persons. Complete review before issuing the survey findings. |
04Survey coverage
| Area | Typical information |
|---|---|
| Workpiece and loading | Orientation, center of gravity, permitted gripping directions, datum surfaces, vulnerable features, and allowable force, contact pressure and deformation. |
| Paths and space | Pick-and-place points, highest and lowest positions, swept envelope, exclusion zones, adjacent equipment, and intersections between personnel and material flow. |
| Foundations and access | Concrete or steel structure, thickness and elevation, load-bearing information, doors and turning clearances, forklift and overhead-crane access, and construction windows. |
| Engineering data | Dimensioned 2D drawings, 3D models, layout coordinates, interface drawings, process cycle times, risk assessments and construction requirements. |
