- Determine whether each inspection item applies, then record Pass, Fail or Rectification Required together with supporting evidence.
- Enter the load, stroke, pressure, cycle-time and cycle-count requirements from controlled project documents. This general template does not preset those values.
- Spreadsheet formulas check record completeness only. Authorized personnel review outstanding items and risks before signing the shipment release.
01Purpose
Use this form to inspect and document the pneumatic industrial manipulator and its tooling before shipment. It covers identification, manufacturing records, assembly, functional tests, load range, tooling safety, packaging release and outstanding issues. Identify any factory acceptance items that require further verification on site.
02Roles and responsibilities
- Manufacturing, assembly, quality, project management and shipment-release personnel.
- Customer, end-user or third-party representatives witnessing FAT.
- Project personnel responsible for tooling, safety logic, equipment documents, packaging, transport and closure of outstanding issues.
03How to use
| Step | Requirements |
|---|---|
| 1. Establish the approved basis | Record the project, equipment, serial number, date and acceptance documents. Reference approved documents for capacities and limits. |
| 2. Check applicability | Mark each item Applicable or Not Applicable. Give a reason for every exclusion; an exclusion must not conceal an incomplete required inspection. |
| 3. Perform inspections | Cover document identification, appearance and assembly, basic functions, load range, tooling, safety, performance and packaging. |
| 4. Record evidence | Enter measurements, observations, photographs, records or document references. The inspector must date the entry. |
| 5. Close deviations | List failed items and required rectifications, with actions, responsible persons, deadlines and closure evidence. |
| 6. Authorize release | Record the shipment decision, any conditions, SAT follow-up items, and the approving person or document reference. |
04Acceptance scope
| Category | Typical checks |
|---|---|
| Identification and assembly | Nameplate, model, manufacturing records, supplied documents, structural parts, fasteners, air lines, cables and surface protection. |
| Functions and load | Unloaded full-stroke travel, joint brakes, operating logic, agreed load, reach and representative cycles. |
| Tooling and safety | Workpiece fit, retention and release, unintended-release prevention, pressure-loss states, emergency stops, limits and collision prevention. |
| Release and transport | Supplied accessories, spares and tools, transport restraints, protective packaging, deviation approval and SAT follow-up requirements. |
